Manosque. Un jardin en ville.

Sam left Marseille definitely last Friday and I drove down from Switzerland to meet him in Manosque (Haute Provence). That's where we spent the week end (planned since the beginning of the year...) with Anne-Céline and Maxence. We stayed in a very charming B&B called "a garden in town", owned by Francette (former english teacher) with her husband and their big lazy cat. We found a dining room with a library full of english books. Perfect for Anne-Céline!

I would recommend this place. It's a great find and I know that we'll be back!

Here are some pics of the B&B and the website is here. I'll post more about our week end in Manosque later.

Jean Jacques Sempé. Exihibit. Morges. Sep 09.

We went to an exihibit yesterday in Morges (Switzerland) of a french cartoonist. Jean-Jacques Sempé. In France, we all know him for his illustrations of Le Petit Nicolas: books that we all read as kids (and adults). He also worked repeatedly for the New Yorker. I choose the one above for my brothers...

Where was I this summer?

At the beginning of June, I started a new job. During 8 months without work, it was easy to update this blog with fun stuff. This summer became a little tougher since I landed in a small village by a lake along the french/swiss border with no connection to the world wide web. My job is in Lausanne and I rode to work 2 hours a day for three months, crossing the border twice a day (commuting is not for me yet thousands of french people do it the entire career)... I got really familiar with all the radio stations from the area. But that's about it! Here are a few pics from the area of Malbuisson, where I lived for 3 months. Soon I'll be posting some pics from Lausanne, where I finally found an appartment. Sam has left Marseille and we will soon be able to explore Switzerland together. I'm a happy girl!
